Balls Without Barriers

Some Things Never Change

Some Things Never Change

I’ve been playing as if someone were watching … evaluating … on the verge of calling me out, for better or worse. But you know what? Each human life revolves around its own navel. Round and round we go. Never stopping. And no one is really watching … evaluating … on the verge of calling me out, for better or worse.

So, if that is the case, perhaps true freedom comes from accepting that no one is watching. So, why not go play? Take risks! Have no fear! On the outside, check all the boxes, fill in the blanks, make the grocery lists like everyone else. But keep this close to your heart: if balls to the walls is how you want to be, then embrace that with enthusiasm. Not as revenge or for the eventual goal of being noticed, but just because you freely can. If that is at all possible.

If you do get called on the carpet … lay down a gauntlet at the ankles of  judgmental feet and challenge them to take a single authentic step, then be on your way.

Today is a new day. A balls to the walls kind of day.
